With over 20 years in the food industry, Lisa Cove founded Shelf Ready to solve a critical challenge faced by scaling food businesses: you can’t get on store shelves without a food safety program that passes audits. Drawing on her background in food manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and packaging, Lisa built Shelf Ready to make food safety simple, strategic, and accessible for ambitious brands.
Lisa is a former Professor of Food Safety and Traceability, and she has worked with global brands like Ferrero, Nutella, and Tic Tac, as well as emerging startups and private-label manufacturers. Her HACCP training is accredited by the International HACCP Alliance, and she has led dozens of businesses through successful SQF, GFSI, CFIA, and FDA audits.
At Shelf Ready, Lisa leads all client projects while collaborating with a trusted network of industry consultants, trainers, and auditors to ensure the right expertise is always available. She’s also a speaker, mentor, and advisor to food entrepreneurs through accelerators and nonprofit programs across North America.
